Examples of small jobs

What does a tinsmith do?

A tinsmith shapes and fits thin metal sheets for different purposes. These may be flashings that protect junctions on a house, fittings made to suit an interior, or smaller metal parts that must be made to measure.

Here you can find examples of smaller jobs I have carried out. Do you have a similar need, or are you unsure what you need? Get in touch and we can consider it together.

Repairs and alterations

Not every sheet metal job involves extensive work. Sometimes it is a matter of repairing an existing sheet metal fitting or adapting a detail that is not working as it should.

My work has included repairs and improvements to chimney flashings.

Flashings for houses and buildings

Flashings are used in many places on a building, including where different materials and building elements meet.

I make and fit flashings to measure, for example for roofs, chimneys, masonry, walls and other junctions.

Sheet metal and fittings for interiors

Sheet metal work is also used inside buildings. Custom metal sheets and trims can be used for interior fittings, benches, counters and work surfaces.

My work has included edge trims, end trims, plinth trims and other custom sheet metal details.

Materials and custom work

I work with different metals, including copper, zinc and stainless steel sheets. The work is adapted to its intended use, the measurements and the solution needed.
